Kerala: SF medical Colleges told to submit prospectuses within 4 days
Thiruvanathapuram: The self-financing Medical and Dental Colleges have been asked to submit their prospectuses within four days for approval with the Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (AFRC).
The medical and dental institutions who have who have not taken approval from the AFRC will have their entire seats allotted through spot admissions by the CEE under the general merit category.
"The tuition fee collected from such candidates .. shall be tuition fee as provisionally fixed by the AFRC," the Committee order stated.
The prospectus is supposed to contain the college profile, the name of the Educational agency/ Management, which conduct the college, the vision, mission and objectives of the college, the names of the important office bearers, the management that controls the college, the address and contact details including the website and email address of all important persons.. with mobile/phone numbers.
Besides this the prospectus is also to contain the academic program offered (UG/PG/Diploma/Super speciality) with sanctioned intake strength of the academic year with category wise details, , the details of the regular faculty members with photo, the head wise fee structure of college and hostel, details of infra.. structure (Physical and Academic), the details of the hospital facilities and students facilities provided, the authenticated result of three previous years, the details of admission procedure with eligibility criteria, other statutory requirements etc.
After approval, the prospectus would be forwarded to the CEE by the AFRC for observation and follow up action and a copy would be dispatched to the respective Medical/Dental Colleges reports the Mathrubhumi .
The Committee headed by Justice Rajendra Babu also made clear that Medical/Dental Colleges are not entitled to admit candidates from Dependent. families of the staff of management and trustees etc.
