    Kerala: Kannur boy tops State medical entrance test

    Kerala: Kannur boy tops State medical entrance test

    Kerala: Muhammed Munavvir V S of Kannur is the topper of pre-medical exams in the state this year. He got a score of 960/1000. The second rank holder is Lekshin Dev B, scoring 956. Third rank holder is Benson Jake Eldho of Ernakulam scoring 955.


    These rank holders appeared for the state level competitive exam for admission in medical colleges, have scored the top positions among a total of 1,16,477 candidates who appeared for the exam. The exam was conducted across 347 centres in the state, 2 in Mumbai, and one in Delhi and Dubai. A total of 1, 04,787 candidates have made it to the rank list. The exam was conducted from April 25 to 28.


    The top rank holders hail from northern districts of the state. Out of the top five rank holders, three are from Malappuram district. Two are from Kannur and Kozhikode each. The results were announced by education minister C Raveendranath and health minister K K Shailaja jointly at a news conference here.


    The Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical (KEAM) 2016 entrance examination rank list has been released on Wednesday, 1st June, 2016. The Thiruvananthapuram commissioner of Entrance Examination released the rank list. All the students appeared for the entrance examination in Engineering, Agriculture and Medical can check their ranks status. More than 4,50,000 students had appeared for the KEAM test that was held on April 27 and 28 across 300 centres in Kerala and outside on April 27 and 28, 2016.


    The test was conducted after confusion surrounding Neet as a common medical entr’acte test was brought to rest by a Centre’s ordinance. Now the Supreme Court has allowed merit quota seats in medical colleges to be filled through state rank this year.
