Kerala: Former principal of Kozhikode Medical College arrested on Sexual Assault charges
KOZHIKODE: A case of alleged sexual assault has been reported at the Khozikode medical college, in which a former principal of Kozhikode Medical College arrested by the city police on the complaint filled by a minor for alleged sexual assault.
Dr P V Narayanan, who had retired from his post at the medical college, ran a private clinic at this this house in Pantheerankavu.
The girl has allegedly complained against Dr P V Narayanan, who had reached his clinic on July 12 for consultation.
As per the police, the 17-year-old girl, filed a complaint with the help of the volunteers of the Child Line, reports TOI
The police took action after the Childline workers filed a complaint with them. The girl said that said she was allegedly molested by the doctor, when she approached him for treatment for fever on last Tuesday. She informed her teachers, who approached the Childline workers.
The police have charged the accused under section 7 and 8 (Sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
