    Kerala DNB students to get Rs 10000 more stipend, DNB SS get even higher hike

    New Delhi: Following the Kerala government's step in enhancing the stipend of House surgeons and Resident Doctors working in various Government Medical and Dental Colleges of the State, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the corresponding increase of the stipend for DNB and DNB SS medicos in the state as well.

    The confirmation to this effect comes via a recent notice uploaded on the official website of NBE via which the NBE authorities have issued the stipend guidelines for medicos at DNB and FNB accredited hospitals, institutions and medical colleges of Kerala state.

    It has been stated that the NBE accredited hospital shall have to pay the DNB/FNB candidate a basic stipend as prescribed or basic stipend according to state government policy (whichever is higher). This is in accordance with NBE stipend guidelines dated 02-04-2019 applicable to all NBE accredited medical institutes.

    The notice mentioned the following:

    As per letter G.O(Ms)No.101/2019/H&FWD dated 08-07-2019 issued by Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Kerala the stipend to be paid to resident doctors in the state of Kerala has been revised with effect from 01-07-2019 as under:

    All NBE accredited hospitals /institutions in Kerala are required to comply with the revision of stipend to be paid in accordance with the orders issued by the Government of Kerala.

    The NBE has warned all the institutes that non-compliance may lead to the withdrawal of their accreditation.

    The decision comes following the Kerala Government order of revising the stipend for all types of medicos working in the state

    The Kerala Government order dated 08/07/2019 mentions the following:

    Government are pleased to enhance the stipend of House surgeons/ Resident Doctors in various Government Medical /Dental Colleges of the State, w.e.f 01/07/2019, as detailed below.

    It is also ordered to provide for 4% annual increase in the stipend of House surgeons and Resident Doctors in various Government Medical /Dental Colleges, to take care of current inflation rate, till next pay revision of State Government Employees and Teachers is implemented by the Government, adds the notice.
