Does MCI also consider unscrupulous & fake Madhya Pradesh Government’s Gazette Notification No F5-30/2017/1/55 dated 10 April 2017, which permits Private Medical/Dental Institutions to conduct their own counseling for NRI candidates? In direct violation of MCI Notification dated 11 March 2017 published in Gazette of India, MP Government’s ibid Gazette is undoubtedly unscrupulous but surely not fake. Available at MP Government web-site, the Gazette signed by Shri BR Sunahare, Dy Secretary states as follows:-
    \”राज्य की प्रवीण सूची के अनुसार, एन आर आई अभ्यर्थियों की काउन्सलिंग प्रक्रिया संबंधित महाविद्यालय द्वारा की जाएगी.\”
In MP’s Private Medical Institutions, there are 47 & 26 NRI seats in MD/MS & MDS respectively, of which MD/MS seats are in much sought-after in clinical subjects & matter of fact is that there are no NRI candidates in NEET:PG Merit List-2017 who can opt for them. Therefore MP State Government’s illegitimate Gazette Notification on delegation of NRI counseling to Private Institutions has a potential to abet underhand usurpation of NRI Quota.
In MP, specific provisions don’t seem to exist for the contingency of NRI Quota remaining vacant. Hon Justice GS Sandhawalia of Punjab & Haryana HC, in CWP No.17704 of 2015, had directed Punjab Government for filling vacant NRI seats by candidates from General Category.
Will Madhya Pradesh Government desist from colluding with Private Medical Institution in facilitating MD/MS seats, please?
