Karnataka: CET not to be postponed
Karnataka: Students appearing for the CET (Common Entrance Test) can expect some good news as the state government has decided not to change the scheduled dates.
CET will be conducted as has been decided before, on May 4 and 5 across the state. This announcement by the state government will provide relief to lakhs of students appearing for CET 2016.
The decision by the government comes as evaluation of the answer scripts of second year Pre-University students is to commence now. However, the minister for higher education in the state has ruled out this reason stating that there is no correlation between the entrance test and the delay in evaluation of answer scripts.
As quoted by Hindu, Minister for Higher Education T.B. Jayachandra, on Wednesday, said the CET would be held as per the schedule and there was no connection between the entrance test and delay in the evaluation of answer scripts.
