Karnataka: Car accident leaves two medical students dead and a third injured
BELGAUM: Three medical students driving back from a party met with an accident when their car hit the divider on NH 4 killing two and leaving a third grievously injured.
The two who lost their lives have been identified as Jayant Roy, a third-year MBBS student at KLE university's Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, and Nisha, a second-year student of dental surgery at the same university. Their surviving friend Anshuman Kumar has been admitted to a hospital. NDTV states that their deaths might have been a result of drunken driving.
Jayant was the eldest son of Bihar's gynaecologist couple Sarika Roy and Himanshu Roy. His grandmother Shanti Roy is also an eminent gynaecologist in Patna, reports ND TV.
