Karnataka: 4 PHCs handed over to private medical college
Belagavi: The Department of Health and Family Welfare has handed over operations of four primary health centres (PHCs) that fall under the Arogya Bandhu Scheme in the district, to belagavi based, KLE University's JN Medical College.
The hand over involves a complete take over of administrative control of centres at Vantamuri and Kinaye in Belagavi taluk and two more in Rukmini Nagar and AshokNagar in the city of Belagavi by the college. for two years.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the District Health and Family Welfare Officer and KLE university officials has become effective fromJuly 1.
The MoU was signed on Sunday between District Health and Family Welfare Officer A. M. Naratti, and N. S. Mahantashetti, Principal, of the college reports Hindu.
