Kamlesh accused in TS EAMCET-II medical paper leak case died due to cardiac arrest : CID

Hyderabad: Kamlesh Kumar Singh, an advocate, who was accused in TS EAMCET-II 2016 (Medical) entrance examination question paper leakage case, died due to cardiac arrest.

The 55-year-old Kamlesh, resident of Bihar State, was arrested on December 20 last year by Telangana State CID and was brought to Hyderabad under Transit Warrant from the court.

The Hyderabad court remanded him to judicial custody and he was lodged in Central Prison, Chanchalguda in Hyderabad, CID said in a release here today. On further investigation, Kamlesh was brought under police custody by CID on December 31 for questioning.

On January 1 at 11.45 hours, Kamlesh complained of chest pain and immediately he was sent to the nearby Mahaveer Hospital for treatment and later he was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital on the same day.

He died while undergoing treatment at the hospital at around 1620 hours yesterday and the doctors who treated him opined that it was a case of heart failure or myocardial infarction. The Sub Divisional Executive Magistrate (RDO), Nampally conducted inquest over the body of the deceased in the presence of deceased's son in law and nephew who were present with him.

All the formalities required as per the NHRC guidelines were observed. After completion of post-mortem examination by a Team of Doctors of Forensic Medicine Department of Osmania General Hospital under video graphy, the body of the deceased was handed over to his son in law and nephew.
