JIPMER ties up with radio station for health promotion

Puducherry : Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), and Pondicherry Central University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a mutual cooperation to strengthen medical teaching, training and research capabilities.

According to a JIPMER statement here, its Director Dr. S C Parija and University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anisa Basheer Khan had signed the MoU.

The community Radio station of the Pondicherry University will broadcast health education by Jipmer experts and will obtain feedback of the broadcasting from the community to know the impact of the dissimination of health care knowledge. Further the University Community Radio Station staff will train Jipmer staff in recording of health education messages for broadcasting, the statement added.
