JIPMER issues Instructions for MBBS Internship Batch 2019
Puducherry: The premier Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has issued Instructions for the upcoming MBBS Internship Batch 2019
The concerned MBBS students are requested to view the instructions as follows:
The Internship for the final year MBBS students who clear the final MBBS Part II examination held in November 2019) will be starting from 26-12-2019 as per schedule. However, they have to complete their Tamil Nadu Medical Council Registration formalities at least by 19-12-2019 without fail.
The registration fee for TNMC will be Rs.1500/- (per student) and this should be collected from the students in form of demand draft and the task can be handled by the Student Representative of the Batch on priority basis.
All the final year MBBS Students are directed to take note of the above issue for necessary action.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be the one and only gateway to MBBS admission across the country including AIIMS and JIPMER from the next academic year.
“The common national entrance test — NEET — applicable to institutes of national importance like AIIMS and JIPMER and common counselling for MBBS, as per the National Medical Commission Act, will come into force from the next academic year (2020). This will help set common standards in the medical education sector in the country,” Dr Vardhan had declared last month
These major changes in the medical education system are the features of the newly cleared National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill, 2019 which is going to replace the Medical Council of India (MCI).
