JIPMER doctor releases book on Ruptured Uterus

Puducherry: 'Ruptured Uterus' the latest gynae release authored by Dr Gowri Dorairajan, Professor, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, was officially released by Dr. S.C. Parija, Director of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) here on Wednesday.

Dealing in ruptured uterus an emergency in obstetrics, 'Ruptured Uterus' has been put together by Springer Publications. Relevant for post graduate trainees and those practicing obstetrics, its narrative style is based on the author’s experiences with various cases, stated the press release, issued on the occasion.

Dr. Parija has in his efforts to encourage faculty members and students for their academic and research activities, has introduced various innovative methods at JIPMER. He also held a national level workshop on book writing at JIPMER recently.

Stating books as an important medium for educating both undergraduate and postgraduate students, the press release issued stated that books authored by JIPMER doctors will be a great contribution to the medical fraternity and practicing doctors.
