JIPMER Connaissance 2019: 1500 delegates participate in ongoing International MBBS students conference

JIPMER Connaissance has been a massive success before and it continues to grow exponentially with each passing year.

Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is currently hosting the three-day third edition of Connaissance, the largest undergraduate medical conference in the country.

According to a JIPMER release which was released on April 11, the connaissance offers a widespread array of workshops, clinical case presentations, paper presentation, quiz, debate and much more, conducted by some of the foremost experts in the medical profession.

Connaissance has been a massive success before and it continues to grow exponentially with each passing year.

This year about 1500 delegates are attending the conference and JIPMER is offering a whopping 21 workshops in a wide array of fascinating topics in various fields of medicine.

The symposia, which has been one of the highlights of Connaissance past, focuses on topics pertinent to holistic medical education.

JIPMER which includes a tertiary care referral hospital is an Institution of National Importance (an autonomous body) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The medical institution was established in the year 1823 by the French Government but was converted into Dhanvantari Medical College at the time of de facto transfer of Pondicherry to Government of India. This Medical College was later upgraded into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research.

Connaissance is primarily aimed at promoting Research activities and showcasing academic brilliance among the undergraduate Medical Students of the country and abroad. This is a golden opportunity for students from our country to interact and exchange ideas with the foreign delegates.
