Jipmer conducts one-day conference on Surgical techniques
Puducherry: The department of Gastroenterology,Jawharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) here conducted a one-day conference and certificate course on Surgical techniques in Robotic surgery on Sunday.
According to a Jipmer statement, Robotic surgery is an emerging field of surgery that aloe surgeons to perform complex procedures with high precision with the help of surgical robots.

The aim of the conference was to update the surgeon on the various surgical procedures that can be performed by robotic approach.
Jipmer Director, Dr Rakesh Aggarwal inaugurated the conference on Sunday, in which eminent faculty including Dr Somashekhar from Manipal Hospital Bengaluru, Dr Sudheer from Amrita Hospital, Kochi, delivered lectures.
About 100 practicing surgeons with interest in robotic surgery attended the conference.
