HP Guv calls on Forest Min at Tanda Medical College
Kangra: Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatreya on Friday called on Forest Minister Govind Thakur, who is under treatment in Tanda Medical College, to know about his health condition.
Later, the Governor also met the officers of TMC and suggested them to carry on the cleanliness drive within the campus and raise hoardings for creating awareness regarding Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan among the people visiting the college.
He said despite some odds, the doctors and other staff were working hard for the patients, which was laudable.
According to Mr Dattatreya, he had experienced that people of this state were reposing their faith in government hospitals, which indicated that doctors were rendering services to humanity sincerely.
The Governor also expressed satisfaction on TMC ranking 31st among top 600 medical colleges of the country.
''Patients should have faith in the doctors so that the doctors can render their services in the right perspective,'' he added.
Mr Dattatreya stressed on TMC authorities to introduce yoga activities in the college. He visited different Wards and also talked to the patients. Doctors gave a list of their demands and apprised him about the problems they were facing.
The Governor was also given a briefing about the developmental programmes being carried out in TMC.
