Haryana: Govt college Admissions from June 5 to 30

Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma on Wednesday said admission in all government colleges in the State would be conducted from June 5 to 30, 2016 and a single roll number would be issued to students of under-graduate and post-graduate courses.

The schedule of admissions in all government colleges has been notified for the 2016-17 session. Under this, online admission would be conducted from June 5 to 30, Mr Sharma said.

    Auto-generation of roll numbers

He said that with effect from the academic session 2016-17, the roll numbers of the students getting admission in first year of under-graduate and post-graduate course would be auto—generated by the system.

Roll numbers of only those students would be generated who have successfully deposited the fee.

The applicants would fill up application form online in the college free of cost and the college principal would be authorised to approve five to ten local vendors or cyber cafes at the approved single rate (lowest rate) as per government procedure.

    Rs 50 per form

The rate would not exceed by Rs 50 per form, as authorised in 2015-16, he informed.

He said that all candidates would be informed about all successful activities through SMS.

No old student has to fill up the form online for 2016-17, he added.

He said that all the principals were authorised to have Internet Lease Line, as approved last year, up to a limit of Rs 1.5 lakh.

All the colleges would ensure that the merit lists are pasted on the notice boards and uploaded on college website.

    Hard copy mandatory

It would be mandatory for applicants to submit the hard copy of admission form along with all required documents at college counter till 4 pm on June 30, 2016, he said.

The Minister said that all principals have been directed to check and verify subjects offered by the college along with subject combinations, number of seats in each course along with the cut-off percentage for each course and fee structure of each course and class.
