Gujarat : Super speciality seats likely to fall vacant in colleges
Ahmadabad: The online examination for super speciality seats in BJ Medical and NHL Municipal Medical Colleges are likely to fall vacant with many students not being able to clear the entrance test for them.
The exam conducted for the super speciality stream by the Gujarat University on Sunday saw the result being delayed by a day. Instead of Monday the results for this online exam were declared on Tuesday. The delay occurred because the students had complained that their answer sheets had been exchanged. The university in order to put the pandemonium to rest had to have the answer sheets checked again.
In the face of not many students clearing the exam in the super speciality streams the university was requested to give grace marks, which it refused to do. According to the university announcement, of the 846 students who appeared for a total of 65 seats only 464 cleared the examination.
The ones who have cleared are now allowed to submit their stream choices by Wednesday or Thursday. The seat allotment will begin by August 5.
