Gujarat’s NEET merit list declared, over 20000 score ranks
New Delhi: The merit list of NEET crackers of 2017 has been posted on medadmgujarat.org by the Admission Committee for Professional Medical Educational Courses (ACPMEC). The listed students will now be able to take admissions in medical, dental, ayurvedic and homeopathy courses in Gujarat’s medical colleges on the basis of their NEET score. The list highlights the student NEET roll number, category, percentile rank, NEET score and all-India rank as well.
60,425 students from Gujarat appeared for NEET 2017 held on May 7 according to officials. Of them, about 22,970 students have qualified for admissions in undergraduate medical, dental, ayurveda, homeopathy courses they added..
Among the qualified, 11,658 students are from the open category while there are 1,445 students from Scheduled Tribes, 1,869 students from Schedule Castes and 7,998 students from OBC category.
To qualify for admission, student have to score 131 out of 720 in the NEET exam; the reserved category to qualify has to score 107 out of 720 .
In Gujarat, there are 3,630 medical seats in colleges; with another 6,000 seats in medical allied seats.
A TOI report states that a body of parents had approached the admission committee with the request to put the Gujarat student’s NEET scores on the website. The authorities it is believed complied immediately, added the Indian Express.
