Gujarat: Third Year MBBS student commits suicide
Rajkot: A 20 year old medical student of MP Shah Medical College committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his friend's room in the hostel. Coming from a wealthy family which owned a thread making business in Ahmadabad, Hemal Patel, was a third year MBBS student of the college. According to preliminary investigations he took his life due to the stress of studies.
"Patel comes from a wealthy family. He was living in room number 28. On Sunday afternoon, he went to Parth's room to study. Parth went out at around 4pm for some work but Patel stayed back to read. However, when Parth returned, he saw Patel hanging from the ceiling fan,'' said K S Jadeja, investigating officer at B-division police station, Jamnagar.
