Goa: GenNext stands tall against shortcomings at Goa Medical College
Goa: Generation Next (GenNext) against Corruption are keeping a strict watch on noted shortcomings at the Goa Medical College and Hospital Bambolim.
They are reported to be keeping pressure on the government, especially health minister Francis D'Souza to pay attention to several shortcomings at the college.

Their first major step pointing towards this direction is the fact that they want to brace up the one-man committee suggested by the health minister. They are demanding a fact finding committee to include four doctors, an MLA from each political party and respected citizens be set up.
President Durgadas Kamat D'Souza has also expressed his disappointment over the appointed one man committee member Dr Avinash Kamat Dhakankar, who is reported to be a relative of the Union defence minister.
As reported by TOI, GenNext alleged that during Medical Council of India (MCI) officials had orally communicated about the pathetic condition of the premier state government medical college to the hospital authorities during a recent visit.
