Full salary for doctors pursing PG in Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand: In a major relief to doctors pursuing their postgraduation at various Uttarakhand based medical colleges, the CM has recently announced that they would now be getting a full salary rather than half salary during their tenure of PG
Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat made this announcement recently in the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Executive of the Provincial Medical and Health Services Association on 06 January 2020.
Trivendra Singh also honoured and congratulated several doctors and other executives for their excellent work in improving the health services of the state.

"There has been a tremendous improvement in both infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate. I appreciate the Provincial Medical and Health Services Association for taking the step to honour the excellent work of the doctors and executives in the development of health services. This step will encourage the doctors," said Trivendra Singh, Chief minister Uttarakhand.
He further added that there is an increment in the number of doctors in the state. Talking about the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana, he informed that the contribution of state government hospitals is now 54% to the scheme
"We are continuously trying to start the telemedicine in the whole state and to improve the connectivity in the remote areas. There is a need to develop a mechanism or system by which remote areas can get the proper health services," he further added.

He further thanked the doctors of the Doon hospital and Coronation hospital for improving the health services.
