Four new medical colleges coming up in Jharkhand
RANCHI: A Rs. 2000 crore project for the construction of four medical colleges and a university was given an approving nod by the state cabinet recently.
The coming up medical colleges will include a 500-bed hospital each and will come up at locales of Palamu, Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh, and Dumka.
The cabinet has also approved the construction of the Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University building in Khunti, at a budget allocation of Rs 206.54 crore.
A Rs 429.28 crore sanction for the construction of a new building at the existing campus of the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College & Hospital (MGMMCH) in Jamshedpur has also come through, reports TOI.
