    Formative Assessment Test 2019 (FAT 2019): NBE issues notice for DNB, FNB trainees
    New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Board of Examinations has informed about the Formative Assessment Test (FAT) for all DNB/FNB trainees.

    All the concerned DNB, FNB trainees who are interested in FAT 2019 can view the details of the said notice mentioned below:

    The National Board of Examinations conducts the Formative Assessment Test for all DNB/FNB trainee on an annual basis as per the below-prescribed scheme:

    Broad Speciality CoursesIn 2nd year of DNB trainingIn 1st & 3 rd year of DNB training

    Post Diploma CoursesIn 1st year of DNB trainingIn 2nd year of DNB training
    Fellowship CoursesIn 1st year of DNB trainingIn 2nd year of DNB training

     Kindly note that appearance in FAT shall be made mandatory as one of the eligibility criteria for appearing in DNB/FNB Final exit examinations as per the below-prescribed scheme:

     Kindly note that the annual appraisal fees submitted by the candidates as a part of their annual training charges shall not be refunded to them in case of non-appearance in the internal appraisal conducted by their institute/ hospital.


     Any exemption from FATs shall have to be informed by the accredited institute/hospital to NBE prior to the conduct of FAT with all relevant supporting documents. The exemption from FAT shall be decided by the NBE on merit of the case.


     The compulsory participations in FATs shall apply to the candidates, who join in or after July 2019 admission session.


    The schedule of Formative Assessment Test-2019 to be conducted by NBE for the above candidates is as follows
