FIR lodged against unidentified ‘teacher' whose attack on her dignity led her to take her life

According to sources, no evidence has surfaced yet on any faculty having misbehaved with the student revealed the college administration.

Jaipur: AIIMS Jodhpur is surrounded in controversy since the unfortunate demise of a fresh entrance, just four days after she took admission in the MBBS Course. Rashmi Yadav, an AIIMS, Jodhpur, medical student, hailing from Alwar, ended her life allegedly after a humiliating scolding from an unidentified professor, something that she also alluded to in her suicide note .

The victim’s suicide note as revealed stated, “Please forgive me maa and papa. I didn’t want to hurt you, but I can’t live without self-respect. Sir (addressing to an unknown teacher), I am sorry. You scolded me very harshly. I couldn’t even say sorry. I am really very very sorry. Please don’t this to anyone else. You may have a great attitude, but your behavior with me was not right today. Sir, my school was great and I have good manners. Mummy (addressing to her mom), some people are not good.” reported the

The police are yet to identify this professor. Interestingly, the victim did not put down his name on the suicide note that she left behind, in which she alleges having been humiliated by him.

The investigation has taken a difficult turn with the victim’s phone being locked and the investigating police not being able to have access to the details on her cell phone.

Forensic experts have been called in to assist with the investigation being done by the police on the case. The classmates have also been questioned.

In an effort to identify the professor, AIIMS Director, Dr. Sanjeev Mishra is believed to have taken a meeting of senior medical college hostel, and administration officials. CCTV footage is being studied as well to follow all movements of the victim during her three days stay at the college and hostel since July 31.

According to sources, no evidence has surfaced yet on any faculty having misbehaved with the student revealed the college administration.

It further stated that full cooperation was being extended to the police in their investigations.

Ramniwas Yadav, the victim’s father who is a principal by profession – lodged an FIR against the unidentified teacher on hearing of her death.
