Fellowship programme initiated by AYUSH Ministry for AYUSH Scholars to pursue PhD Programme: Shri Shripad Naik

New Delhi: Answering questions in the Lok Sabha, Shri Shripad Naik, Minister of Ayush, informed about the Fellowship programme initiated by AYUSH Ministry for AYUSH Scholars to pursue PhD Programme

As per University Grant Commission (UGC), the Universities have the academic freedom to start Ph.D. programme under AYUSH discipline with due approval of the respective statutory councils and in accordance with the Ph.D. Regulations notified by UGC with the specialisation indicated within parenthesis.

Further, the Ministry of AYUSH through its Research Councils have initiated a fellowship programme wherein scholars will be selected for grant of fellowship from this Ministry to pursue Ph.D. programmes from Universities/Institutes of their choice.
