Exam Failure, Relationship woes: 3rd year MS surgery Medico commits suicide
Vadodara: Disappointed over getting low scores in the examination and troubled love life, a third-year female MS medico of Baroda Medical College has committed suicide at her room at the medical college campus hostel.
According to a recent report by TOI, the 27-year-old PG medical student was discovered hanging to her ceiling fan with a suicide note left behind explaining that she took the extreme step after feeling dejected over an examination failure and due to a distressed love affair.
The unfortunate incident took place on April 30th. Police officials informed that the medico's friends had found her hanging to the fan in her room. They told the media that the MBBS doctor's friends had called her over the phone that day, but when she didn't pick up; they went to her hostel room.

No response came from inside when they reached her hostel room. Concerned, her friends went to check through the window, to their rude shock, the doctor was hanging to the ceiling fan.
Immediately, the medical college authorities and police were informed.
After the preliminary investigation, the police found a suicide note. Informing about the contents of the note so as to explain what drove the MS medical student to take the drastic step, the police officials told TOI, "She had failed in the recently announced results of final year. She was shocked by the exam result, she wrote in the letter, as she was good at studies… She was in a romantic relationship with a fellow student. The deceased has written that her love affair was going through rough phase due to which she was disturbed."

Further investigation is on. The suicide note and the deceased medico's mobile phone have been sent to forensic laboratory for in order to ascertain her handwriting.
The postmortem has been conducted at SSG Hospital and a case of accidental death was registered at Raopura police station, adds TOI.
