Patna: Son of an ENT surgeon, a second-year MBBS student of a medical college here allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in the medical college hostel room.

A suicide note has been found in his room where the deceased MBBS student had written that he was not interested in doing the MBBS course and was feeling study pressure.

The incident reportedly happened on May 18th. The MBBS student was allegedly upset and was feeling stressed over his MBBS studies.

His roommate informed the Navbharat Times that the deceased medico seemed upset since the last six months but never shared anything. He added that on Saturday, May 18th, there was a semester test from 8 am, but Kumar refused to attend the test.

When the roommate came back around 3 pm, he found the room locked from inside. He informed other students in the hostel. When they saw through the window, they found the MBBS student hanging from the ceiling hook.

The students broke open the door. With a hope that he could be saved, the medico was pulled down but he was already dead.

The medical college authorities and police were immediately informed about the incident.

When the police reached the spot, they checked his mobile phone and found missed calls from his family. The police found a diary in the room where several things were mentioned in a melancholic manner.

The police informed that a note was found where it was clearly written, "I don't want to pursue MBBS. I cannot live in this stress. I cannot fulfill the demand and expectation of my father."

The police further informed the Navbharat Times, "He wrote his date of Birth 11-5-1996 and 11-5-2019 and beside that he wrote, -- 'I want to end my life. I will get more happiness by ending my life.'-- It seemed that he planned to end his life on his birthday."

"I am living up till now for my mother. If I die my mother will be hurt the most but I have no other option left. If I am ending my life, it is because of my will. No one else is responsible. This life is worthless to me. I have no true friend. All are selfish. I have tried a lot but cannot live. I am sorry to everyone. There is no point in wasting money on me. I cannot waste more money," the MBBS student had written in the note.

The police further informed that the matter is under investigation and the body was sent for the post-mortem.

Meanwhile, the father of the deceased has filed a complaint against unknown persons alleging that he was provoked by someone, reports the Jagran.
