DNB SS 2019: NBE directs hospitals to surrender Seats vacated after MCC Counselling
New Delhi: Through the medium of the recent public notice, the National Board of Examinations, the body in charge of DNB /FNB courses in the country has directed all hospitals to submit the details of their vacant seats for DNB counselling
NBE is conducting an Offline (in-person) Counseling on 11th October, 2019 at NBE Office, Dwarka, New Delhi. For the same, it recently directed all the hospitals to provide details of their vacated seats after the last MCC counselling, so that these seats can be included in the in-person offline counselling. Natboard further gave a deadline of 7th october,2019 to the hospitals to submit the said details. The notice clearly stated
Medical dialogues team had earlier reported,that as per the recent most count, there are a total of 295 seats vacant for DNB SS July 2019 admission session offline in-person counselling which is going to be conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
The Offline (in-person) DNB-SS- 2019 Centralized Merit Based Counseling shall be conducted by NBE on 11.10.2019 at National Board of Examinations, PSP Area, Sector – 9, Dwarka (Landmark: Opp. District Court, Dwarka, New Delhi)
There is no fee to be paid for participation in the Offline (in-person) Counseling for Eligible candidates.
Candidates made Eligible by lowering the cut-off mark and were not able to register for Stray Round of Counseling conducted by MCC can also appear this Offline (in-person) counselling after the completion of counseling of Eligible candidates, as indicated in the list of eligible candidates on the NBE website. Such candidates have to pay a sum of Rupees Five Thousand only (Rs. 5000/-) as counselling fee in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of National Board of Examinations payable at New Delhi.

All NBE Accredited Hospitals/Institutes are requested to submit the details of the vacated (i.e. Resigned / left) after the completion of Online counselling conducted by MCC (i.e. 15th September 2019).
The vacant seats to be reported to NBE at seatmatrix@natboard.edu.in on/before 07th October, 2019, failing which such seats shall not be included in the offline(in- person) counseling.

As per the seat matrix released on 3rd October 2019, the maximum number of seats are vacant in cardiology with 108 seats. Next comes the critical care medicine with over 48 vacant seats and neurology with 30 seats.
Cardiac Anaesthesia and Neurosurgery, both have 27 seats vacant for DNB SS candidates.
The least number of seats are in Hematology, Medical Oncology, Plastic Surgery, Surgical Oncology with only 1 seat each.
