DMER Maharashtra Releases Merit List, Check out details
The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) has released the state merit list for Maharashtra medical aspirants. The online registration process had started in the month of June and counselling of students will begin based on the state merit list published by DMER. Admission to MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) and BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) courses in private and deemed universities across the state will be done based on the merit list. A total of 50,623 candidates have been named in the merit list who have qualified for the two counselling rounds.
The DMER has also notified about the provisional merit list of NRI candidates selected for counselling in private and deemed colleges. A total of 191 candidates have been selected for the NRI category admission in various medical colleges across the state.
Keeping in mind the government decision, DMER will provide 85 percent medical seats to the domicile candidates who have completed their higher secondary examination from the state in private and deemed university medical colleges. DMER is responsible for filling the rest of the 85 percent seats in the 22 government colleges and 27 private and deemed colleges across the state. 15% seats in the private and deemed universities will be filled by the institute under management quota for NRI and management quota students, based on NEET 2017 ranks.
The document verification will take place at four colleges in the four regions of Maharashtra. The four colleges are:

The document verification process for admission at the regional centres will begin from July 15 and conclude on July 21. Candidates will be called according to their NEET All India Rank (AIR) for the document verification process at various regional centres.
