DMER Maharashtra invites application for Post of Director Haffkine Institute for Training, Research and Testing

Mumbai: Through a notice of the official website of DMER, Maharashtra, Applications are invited for the post of Director, Haffkine Institute for Training, Research and Testing, Mumbai from eligible candidates as per the recruitment rules.

The main object of the institute, registered under the Societies Registration Act,1860 is to study and improve means of preventing and curing communicable diseases and to conduct research and training in related fields. The Institute now wants to fill up the post of Director, who is its executive Head, functioning under the supervision of the Medical Education & Drugs Department of the Government of Maharashtra.

The recruitment rules for the post of Director, Haffkine Institute for Training, Research and Testing, Mumbai are available on www.dmer.org along with the format of application form and other details. All the interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions should send their applications to the Director, Medical Education and Research, 4th Floor, Government Dental College Building, St.Georges Hospital Campus, Near CST Station, Mumbai-400 001 on or before 1st September 2018. Candidates working in Government or Semi-Government organization must send their applications through proper channel.

The Haffkine Institute for Training, Research and Testing is located in Parel in Mumbai. It was established on 10 January 1899 by Dr. Waldemar Mordecai Haffkine, as a bacteriology research centre called the “Plague Research Laboratory”.
