Director of Private Medical College behind bars for Multi-crore scam
Bhopal: A former Director of a private medical college found himself in jail, attempting to sign a multi-crore fraudulent sale agreement of the said private medical college.
As per recent media reports, the Former Director, NK Sharma ended behind bars on the complaint lodged by a complainant Dr. SD Singh in the case. The fraud had been reported 2 years ago at the Kolar police station in July.
Dr N K Sharma, the accused, was arrested while he was returning from a court after a hearing in a separate case, Kolar police said.
The medical college in question is located on the outskirts of the Inayatpur city. According to media reports, an agreement was signed between the accused and the complainant in June 2015, when the former was the Chairman of the society that ran the college. The accused NK Sharma is believed to have taken an advance of Rs 8.60 crore. Dr. SD Singh, the complainant was assured that the college enjoyed a council affiliation and that he would be made Chairman of the society within three months of being taken on society member.
However, though made a society member, the complainant Dr. Singh was not made the society’s Chairman. After a few days of having entered the agreement, the accused stopped taking the complainant’s calls. This act led to the complainant Dr. Singh to start suspecting the intent of the accused NK Sharma
Rising suspicion on the part of the complainant led to him collecting information from the registrar office, New Delhi. It was during these investigations that he discovered that the agreement between him and accused had been cancelled and no process initiated of transfer of his favour reported TOI.
On July 8, 2016 Dr SD Singh registered a case under sections of forgery at Kolar police station and the accused arrested, on Thursday.
