CM, Ministry of Health inspect Nagaland Medical College
Kohima: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, along with Minister for Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) S. Pangnyu Phom, Minister for PWD Tongpang Ozukum and Adviser for Rural Development Dr Neikiesalie Nicky Kire, inspected the ongoing developmental work at the first Medical College site at Phriebagei in Kohima.
According to official sources Rio, during his visit, instructed the Medical Department to plant more ingenious trees in and around the area and also to put up retaining walls all around the boundary.
He also stressed on the importance of the construction of well-planned drainages within the Medical College.
He instructed the consultants to come up with the solution to the problem faced by them at the earliest, as no problem is unsolvable in this high tech world. He urged the consultant and Department officials to work overtime and complete work within the stipulated time period.
Rio further instructed the department to submit a full status report on the progress, achievement and technical hitches before the Niti Ayog meeting which is to be held soon.
Consultant briefed the visiting team about the various problems and technical difficulties faced and highlighted the issue of National Ground Level (NGL), for which they have to redesign the blueprint of the building structure.
Nagaland Principal Secretary & Food Safety Commissioner H&FW Himato Zhimomi also assured the team that all necessary developmental work will be pace up for a fully functional medical college very soon, sources said.
Medical Dialogues has recently reported about the Dr Rajindra Parsad Government Medical College Tanda Kangra (Tanda Medical College) in which 2 departments of Hepatology and Gestrantology would be established soon in order to to strengthen this Medical College to facilitate the patients of the region so that this Medical College could emerge as premier Medical College of the Country.
