Changing Category From Indian To NRI for MBBS Admissions: MCC issues Notice
Medical Counseling Committee has issued a notice regarding change of category from Indian to NRI. The full information regarding notice is given below along with the official website of the medical counselling committee.
A lot of queries/emails have been received by this office regarding mistakenly submission of Nationality by the candidate at the time of filling up of NEET UG 2018 application form in CBSE. In this regard, all the candidates are hereby informed that those who are claiming to be NRI as per the directions/orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. (C) No.689/2017- Consortium of Deemed universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union Of India & Ors.) Dated 22-08-2017.
Such candidates should send their relevant documents in support of their claim of change of nationality from Indian to NRI through e-mail nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com by 28th June 2018 till 10.00 PM. All such candidates are advised to be in touch with the mcc.nic.in website for further course of action. The following conditions are required to be met by the candidates applying for change of their category (Indian to NRI):-
1. As per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. (C) No.689/2017- Consortium of Deemed universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union Of India & Ors.) Dated 22- 08-2017 and principles set out in Anshul Tomar (supra) case. (Copy of judgment attached below for reference).
