    CBSE NEET 2018: Exam on 6th May 2018, says notification

    New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2018 on 6th May 2018.


    While the official announcement is yet to appear on the CBSE website, http://cbseneet.nic.in/, Deccan Chronicle Reports that Mr Sanyam Bhardwaj, joint secretary, CBSE, has communicated the said date to all exam boards to avoid the clash with Neet.


    Eligible candidates can fill and submit application form of NEET 2018 at cbseneet.nic.in NEET 2018 is the single national level medical entrance exam for MBBS and BDS admission in academic session 2018-2019.


    It is compulsory for all colleges and universities approved by MCI/DCI, except AIIMS and JIPMER, to use NEET scores only for the purpose of offering admission. Get here complete details of CBSE NEET UG 2018 such as dates, attempts limit, age limit, application form, syllabus, latest news.

    CBSE NEET UG 2018 Application Form


    To speak in short and brief words, the application procedure comprises basically of 4 steps. 1) Filling the form 2) Uploading the images 3) making the Payment and lastly 4) taking Print out of the Confirmation page.

    Step-1 Filling the form- Application Form shall be accepted in online mode only. It shall be filled by visiting the official website at cbseneet.nic.in where candidates shall fill all the necessary details like personal, contact, qualification and domicile etc.

    Step-2 Uploading Photograph/Thumb impression and Signature- Candidates shall upload the scanned images of their recently taken photograph (against a light background), signature (by candidates herself on plain white sheet) and of impression of index finger as per guidelines.

    Step-3 Payment- pay the fees using online and offline mode.

    The candidates who had applied for NEET last year, paid the sum depending on their category to which they belong. The table shows the fee amount applicable to candidates last year. It is likely that this year as well, the amount may be same. As per trends followed in the NEET, the fees is usually accepted in online mode and in offline mode as well. Applicant gets the opportunity to pay the money via debit or credit card. A lot of students also choose to make their payment through e-challan of banks.

    Step-4 Confirmation Page Print- After the final step i.e payment, a full-fledged application form with all the documents uploaded and entries filled displays on your screen. This is a message to confirm that you agree to the details. You can take a print of this page for proof of details in form and that form submission is over in case any discrepancy arises later on. You should have something concrete in your hand.

    CBSE NEET UG 2018 Eligibility Criteria


    A candidate is strongly advised to check his/her eligibility before applying. Since there have been some changes in the entrance test, candidates must go through the criteria carefully. You will have to satisfy 3 standards initially.

    (i) Age Limit

    • Minimum Age: individual applying must be at least 17 years old as on or before 31st December of 2018.

    • Maximum Age: individual applying must be less than 25 years (for unreserved candidates) and 30 years (for SC, ST, OBC).


    CBSE is yet to confirm age limit.

    (ii) Nationality Conditions

    • Nationality: Applicant must be Indian National or Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Oversees Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Foreign National.

    • J&K/AP/Telangana: NEET 2018 aspirants from J&K/AP/Telangana shall be entitled to an All India 15% quota only if they submit self-declaration.

    • Aadhaar Card Requirement: Indian Nationals must produce Aadhaar Number details and fill the 18 digit number in the space while filling the application form.


    (iii) Qualification

    • Examination: a 12th class qualification or equivalent is essential.

    • Subjects: Subjects studied at 12th class level should include Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Biotechnology with English.

    • 10+2 appearing- students going to appear in 12th are also eligible to apply.

    • Marks Requirement: In the qualifying exam (PCB group), candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks for GEN, whereas for general-PH, the requirement is 45% marks while for SC/ST and OBC, the requirement is 40%.



    CBSE NEET UG 2018 Syllabus


    It is confirmed that the syllabus shall remain the same for 2018. We suggest you stay connected with us for the latest news. This syllabus pattern is on basis of MCI guidelines. As per existing rules, the NEET question paper is prepared as per the guidelines laid down by the MCI (Medical Council of India). The syllabus has questions consisting of topics from Physics, Botany, Chemistry, and Zoology subjects.

    It shall carry components from what CBSE, NCERT & COBSE prescribes as the syllabus for 11th & 12th class standard.
