Attendance of MBBS students during their clinical Postings: JIPMER issues notice
Puducherry: Through a recent notice, the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) informed regarding the attendance of MBBS students during their clinical Postings.
The notice issued by Dean Academics clearly states that the attendance in the clinical postings of the MBBS students in the allied subjects is currently not being reflected in their final MBBS attendance.
Hence, all the Departments are directed to forward the respective posting attendance to the Department of Medicine (except Anaesthesiology, where they would provide it to the Department of Surgery) both as a hard copy and a soft copy in an Excel sheet. The same needs to be informed to the students concerned.
The notice has been accordingly forwarded to HoDs of Psychiatry, Radio-Diagnosis, Dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine, Anaesthesiology, General Medicine and General Surgery.

However, previous it was in 4th and 5th Semester only. Previously the posting was a period of one week and due to tight schedule, the current duration is less than a week.
