Bihar: State Cabinet gives nod to land transfer for two medical colleges
Patna: The transfer of land for setting up of two medical colleges at Begusarai and Madhubani district, has been approved by the Bihar Cabinet.
The cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave its nod to Revenue and Land Reforms department's proposal to transfer BIADA's 20 acres land to Health department for setting up of medical colleges in Begusarai, principal secretary Cabinet department, Sanjay Kumar told reporters.
The transfer of land would be made on the payment of the fee fixed by Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), he said.

The cabinet also decided that 20.32 acres of land belonging to Revenue and Land Reforms department would be transferred to Health department for setting up a medical college in Madhubani without charging any fee for the purpose, he said.
It also sanctioned Rs 160 crore for giving the grant to farmers for farm tools and equipment under farm mechanisation scheme for 2018-19, the principal secretary said.
The cabinet approved the Home department's proposal to construct a sub-divisional jail at Paliganj sub-division in Patna district at an estimated cost of Rs 34.66 crore, he said.
It sanctioned Rs 85 crore out of its budget of Rs 150 crore meant for Bihar Development Mission, Patna to be spent in 2018-19, the principal secretary said.
