Andhra Pradesh: Demand for PG courses in homeopathy
RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: In the absence of a post graduation course of Homeopathy in Dr Allu Ramalingaiah Government Homeopathy College, Andhra Pradesh, students leave the state to pursue this course in others. It is known that approximately 50 students leave the state, every year for their Homeopathy PG courses; and spend roughly Rs.40 lac on it.
According to the the Dr Allu Ramalingaiah Government Homeopathy College, Principal, Dr Venna Veerabhadra Rao, these students can complete their three year post graduation in Rupees forty thousand, if his college is upgraded. the college has the necessary facilities and infra structural facilities required to start a post graduate homeopathy .
The principal further pointed out that, the Minsitry of Ayush’s inspection carried out by officials, found this homeopathy institution’s status satisfactory. However, since the staff strength was merely 20 as against the sanctioned 43, the PG course could not be initiated immediately.
The Principal, was of the opinion, that if the Ministry of Ayush granted the college conditional permission, the post graduate admissions could be taken on immediately. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission at the behest of the state government is already on the job of filling vacant posts, the Principal further added.
