Andhra Pradesh: Counselling for Medical admission starts from Aug 6
AP: Health minister Kamineni Srinivas has announced that Counselling for EAMCET will be held from August 6 to 8.Speaking to Express, he announced "Web counselling for filling medical seats with the EAMCET rankers will be held from August 6 to 8. All qualified candidates can participate in the counselling."
He informed to the media by saying that, in order to get admissions in medical colleges, students will have to deposit Rs 2 lakh and their original certificates with the respective college in which students want to get admission.
He stated, "Each student will have to choose his or her option, during second counselling without fail. If they fail to take admission according to the options given, then they would lose the deposited money and the seat in that college,"
For filling PG medical seats, the state government would conduct counselling three times, and henceforth.
While announcing the dates of Counselling for the medical admission, he also informed the media that, the rumours about the leaking of EAMCET were baseless. There was no paper leaked in EAMCET medical entrance exam.
He refuted the fact by saying that, "They are false reports published by a section of media only to tarnish the image."
As per the Srinivas, the government had taken this innovative decision as several students are giving options but not taking admissions resulting in the next ranker losing the 'desired seat' in government medical colleges.
