Water Rich Mission: LG Kiran Bedi once again pays visit to Puducherry Varsity, Medical College

Puducherry: Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi on Sunday visited the Lakshminarayanan Medical college and Pondicherry University as part of the "Mission Puducherry Water Rich" morning round.


According to a Raj Nivas release, both the institutions were found exceedingly progressive and had put in place good infrastructures of rooftop rainwater harvesting and surface runoff ponds.


The persistent and continued efforts of the Water Rich Puducherry team since June 2018 achieved in getting constructed more than 100 Roof Top Rain Water harvesting structures and surface runoff ponds in various industries and institutions in and around Puducherry.


It has been decided to honour the nest industries and institutions which took initiatives in water harvesting from Diwali festival onwards.
