Tension grips Tanda Medical College over Parking Lot

Kangram: Tension gripped in Tanda medical College campus when allegedly two partners of the parking lot created a ruckus and sought the intervention of the principal who scarped the parking tender which was allotted for one year in 2014 and was extended till Wednesday by the authorities on an annual basis. The authorities were allegedly forced to cancel the parking tenders because of law and order problem within the college campus.


Dr Bhanu Awasthi Principal TMC told UNI that in view of the law and order problem in the campus following a fight between the two partners of the parking lot and police which reached the spot sought his help to defuse the tension and law and order situation.


He said that when one of the partners Pawan Kumar approached him with a request that he wanted not to carry on the parking service in the college premises and withdrew the facilities he (Principal) ordered for scrapping the tender.


He said that we can't allow people to create law and order situation in the campus where more than 500 patients are under treatment.


The principal said that college management has started running the parking from this evening of its own.


Meanwhile one of the Partners Pawan Thakur on whose name the tender was approved in 2014 for one year and continued till date, alleged at a press conference here today that the parking was run for the last four years on fake documents.


He alleged that tender was on his name but the so-called partner with strong political patronage continued to run this parking on fake documents. He alleged that he had in writing asked the authorities to cancel the tender and call new tenders.
