Tanda Medical College to have 2 new departments: CM

Kangra: Two departments of Hepatology and Gestrantology would be established soon at the Dr Rajindra Parsad Government Medical College Tanda Kangra (Tanda Medical College) to strengthen this Medical College to facilitate the patients of the region so that this Medical College could emerge as premier Medical College of the Country.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said this while addressing the 'Connexus-2019', the 17th Annual Inter College Carnival, Students Central Association Function at DRPGMC tanda on Sunday evening.

Chief Minister said that the State has six medical colleges in Government sector besides one private medical college and apart from this, the Union Government has sanctioned a Rs 1300 crore AIIMS for the State which was coming up in Bilaspur district.

He said that a medical University was also coming up at Ner Chowk in Mandi to ensure quality medical education to the Medical Students in the State.
