Tamil Nadu: Through a recent notice Tamil Nadu Health and Family welfare Department has invited applications to MS Siddha 2018.


Applications are invited from candidates who have qualified in the AIAPGET 2018 ( SIDDHA ) for admission to M.D ( SIDDHA ) a three years Post-Graduate Course, 2018-'19 session at Govt. Siddha Medical College, one each at Chennai and Palayamkottai Applications can be Downloaded from the website "www.tnhealth.org"

PAYMENT OF COURSE FEE DEPOSIT :


The candidates who are selected at the time of counselling shall remit a non-refundable sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the "Director of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Chennai-106" on or after 15-10-2018 payable at Chennai at the time of receipt of the allotment orders. After the receipt of the joining report from the Principals of the respective colleges, this amount will be transferred to the Colleges concerned to get adjusted with the Tuition Fees to be paid by the candidates. If the candidate fails to join the course after getting allotment order within the stipulated time he/she will forfeit this amount as well as seat allotted.


All Candidates who participate in the Post Graduate M.D (Siddha) Counselling will have to remit a non-refundable amount of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) by way of Demand Draft drawn on or after 15-10-2018 , in favour of "Director of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Chennai-106" payable at Chennai as processing fee for attending counselling.


ALLOTMENT OF SEATS:

The Selection Committee will allot seats to the Colleges and Branches of study based on the merit and following 69% rule of reservation or 200 points roster depending upon the seat matrices provided by the affiliating University and subject to the availability of seats at the time of individual's turn.

ANNUAL FEE PAYABLE for - M.D(Siddha)

The following fees including Security Deposit, Library fees etc., were fixed by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu in G.O (Rt) No. 300, Health & Family Welfare Dept. dated: 17-6-1989 and the revised fees will be announced prior to admission and will also be subject to revision from time to time.
a. Tuition Fee -- Rs.1000/-
b. Special Fee -- Rs.1585/-
(Inclusive of Security Deposit Library fee etc.)

Every student has to pay for sports and welfare fund every year. The fee prescribed is subject to revision from time to time.

The examination fee will be collected at the rate prescribed by the University from time to time,

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO M.D.(SIDDHA) COURSE:

A pass in BSMS Degree course conducted by The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University or any other recognized Indian University with successful completion of Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI). Candidates who have completed CRRI or will be completing CRRI on or before 31.08.2018 are alone eligible to apply for Post Graduate Degree Course in Siddha. Further, the candidate should have appeared in AIAPGET 2018 (SIDDHA) and should have secured a place in the common merit list arrived at by MoA / AIAPGET 2018 (SIDDHA) Secretariat.

At the time of counselling, the candidate should produce in Original the II Provisional Certificate or Degree Certificate from the recognized University and Medical Registration Certificate issued by Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Council, Chennai.

Foreign Countries Candidates should have passed BSMS Degree awarded by Jaffna University, Sri Lanka or any other equivalent Degree Course recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi and with successful completion of Internship [ CRRI ]. Also, they should have registered with CCIM / Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Council before the date of counselling.

The Candidate should be a Citizen of India and should have undergone B.S.M.S. Course in the State of Tamil Nadu. Candidates of Tamil Nadu Nativity who have completed B.S.M.S. Course in other States shall furnish a Certificate of Nativity in Tamilnadu issued by a competent authority only in the specified format prescribed in the application, and should also produce the Eligibility Certificate from the T. N. Dr. M. G. R. Medical University before Counseling or before attending the Counseling.

Hall Ticket Number and Marks scored in AIAPGET – 2018 (Siddha) are to be filled in the relevant columns of the Application Form. Only Photostat Self Attested copies of the Hall Ticket and Marks Statement should be enclosed with the Application Form. Original Hall Ticket and Marks Statement must be produced only at the time of Counseling and Admission.

NOT ELIGIBLE

(i) Candidates who join a Post Graduate Degree in any branch and discontinue the course on any grounds after the cutoff date fixed by CCIM are not eligible to apply for two subsequent academic years.

(ii) Candidates who have completed a Post Graduate Degree or the candidates who possess a Post Graduate Degree in one Specialty / Branch of study are not eligible to apply for admission to any other Post Graduate degree i.e., in other branches.

MODE OF SELECTION AND ADMISSION

Admission to the course will be made purely on merit, based on the marks obtained in the AIAPGET 2018 (SIDDHA) together with the post –BSMS Experience Marks that will be calculated as below:

Maximum marks for AIAPGET 2018 (SIDDHA) 90 marks

Maximum marks for post – BSMS Experience 10 marks

Total 100 marks

DOCUMENTS TO BE ENCLOSED WITH THE FILLED-IN APPLICATION:

Candidates must enclose only the Photo Copies of Self-attested documents well stapled in the order as indicated below:

i. AIAPGET 2018 [Siddha] – Score Card / Mark statement.

ii. AIAPGET 2018 [ Siddha ] Hall Ticket.

iii. BSMS Degree Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate from the University concerned.

iv. Permanent Medical Registration Certificate issued by CCIM / Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Council.

v. Community Certificate from the competent authority indicating the Community status of the candidates.

vi. TNPSC / MSRB (through Competitive written examination) Selection and Posting order (For Service Candidates).

vii. Nativity Certificate (if Applicable) with Supportive documents as mentioned in Clause 21.

viii. BSMS course Final year marks statement/s.

ix. CRRI Completion Certificate.

x. Transfer Certificate from the institution last studied.

xi. Eligibility Certificate from Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G R. Medical University for Candidates who have qualified from other Universities. This should be Produced before counselling when called for.

For Foreign Candidates only: in addition to the above all items except (i) and (ii) documents, one has to enclose the following also;
xii. Nationality Certificate.
xiii. Photocopy of the Passport.
