Take over Mahatma Gandhi Dental College under JIPMER: Puducherry Health Minister calls on Nadda

Puducherry: Puducherry Health Minister Malladi Krishna Rao on Friday called on Union Health Minister JP Nadda here and requested him to consider the proposal of taking over the Mahatma Gandhi Dental College & Hospital as part of JIPMER, Puducherry.


Mr Nadda was in Puducherry to attend the Jipmer Convocation.


An official release said, thanking Mr Nadda for showing keen interest in identifying the needs of the people, upliftment in terms of the health sector in the U.T of Puducherry, he also submitted a representation requesting the Central Government to grant permission for starting PG in various disciplines in Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC,).


The Minister also requested Introduction of e-cards, by digitalising the patient's data in e-health card in PHC and hospitals through the web in computers so that the patients will be required to carry the e-card alone for identification.
