3rd year MBBS student found dead inside bore well with hands, legs tied; Police suspect murder

Warangal: In a tragic incident, a third-year MBBS student was recently found dead with his hands and legs tied inside an agricultural well in a district. While a case of death under suspicious circumstances has been registered, the police suspect it to be murder.

The deceased is identified to be a 24-year-old 3rd year MBBS student at Khammam based private medical college.

According to recent media accounts, the unfortunate incident surfaced on January 18th 2020. He had returned home from the Pongal Holidays and was going to the medical college campus a day before his death.

The medico's parents informed the police that they received no communication from him after the student reached the campus, reports Deccan Chronicle.

However, the next day, his father found the student's bag, clothes, mobile and shoes near the well, when he went to the farm like every other day. Later, he found his body in the well, adds Mirror

He immediately informed the police and lodged a complaint. The police officials rushed to the scene and retrieved the body from the well.

Police sub-inspector G Krishna Prasad informed that the medico's hands and legs were found to be tied, indicating that he was murdered and dumped in the well.

Meanwhile, a case had been registered and investigation is on. CCTV footage in the village and surrounding areas is being analysed to see if Vamshi was seen with anyone before he disappeared.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that a Kerala based 45-year old female surgeon was found dead inside her car under mysterious circumstances by the police near the Government Medical College (GMC) Thiruvananthapuram over two weeks ago. The nature of her death is still unknown.
