Sri Venkateswara Medical College goes through an MCI check for seat increase

Sri Venkateswara Medical College (SVMC) was visited by the Medical Council of India team for a mandatory inspection recently. The college has been granted a seat hike from 150 to 200 recently, which necessitated the check.


The MCI team comprising of medical professionals led by Dheeraj Kumar Das and comprising of D. Viswanath, Rupali Trivedi, and H.N. Dinesh, during the inspection, verified the presence of buildings, facilities including lab equipment and faculty and faculty recruitments. They checked classrooms, library and laboratories and tallied them with the written records submitted.


The inspection is to be completed by Wednesday and a report submitted to the MCI headquarters, Delhi reports the Hindu.
