MCI team inspects Doon Medical College

Dehradun: The Government Doon Medical College (GDMC), on Tuesday, had a Medical Council of India(MCI), team visit the premises to inspect the services and facilities available in the hospital. The team's report is likely to lead to the granting of the letter of permission (LOP), by the Council to the college. This LOP would result in the third batch of students entering the college for medical study this year.


The inspecting team consisted of Dr Bandameedi Laksmi Narayana, Kurnool Medical College Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, Dr Dhiraj Saxena, Swai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur and Dr Biraj Kumar Das, Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College, Barpeta, Assam.


The trio visited the registration counter, billing section, Wards, Operation Theatres, pathology laboratory, blood bank, and the radiology facilities of the hospital reported the Pioneer.


The team also toured the medical college after inspecting the hospital and took a round of the library, lecture theatres, and hostels.
