Rural Medical college for Women is on anvil : Dattatreya

Hyderabad: The Centre is planning to set up Rural Medical college for women. While addressing at the round table conference on Women and Employability held, Minister of state (Independent Charge) for Labour and Employement, Bandaru Dattatreya said that discussions are going on with the Health Ministry on rural medical college.


He said that providing skill development training to women would raise the employment potential of women workers, and added that the NDA government is striving to give job security, wage security and social security to the workforce, particularly those who are toiling in the unorganised sector.


"We are thinking of extending all the benefits of Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) to the women labourers of unorganised sector," he stated.


"We are holding meetings with the Union Ministers of Health, Women and Child Development Ministry and Human Resources Development on this issue," he said.


Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has also given accord, the Minister added.
