Patna Medical College to have capacity of 5000 beds: Nitish

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday said a new building of Patna Medical College and Hospital would come up soon, having capacity of 5000 beds and it would be equipped with latest facilities for treatment of patients.

Mr Kumar, was shown power point presentation on proposed construction of a new building of PMCH which would have capacity of 5000 beds.

He appeared impressed with presentation on proposed construction of new building of PMCH and also suggested few modifications to make it more convenient for patients and attending doctors, para medical staff and other specialists.

" The new building should be fire and earthquake proof," Chief Minister suggested and added that residential premises of doctors and paramedical staff should be at one place.

Such arrangement would also help patients and attendants, he stated.
