As per rules, the Medical Council of India (MCI) is to conduct five inspections once seat approval is granted to a medical institution. This is done to check if the college is prepared in terms of infra structure, services, tech and management to meet up to the demands of the increased no of seats .

Prof. Sidhharth Das, Dean/ Principal of the medical college and hospital, revealed that the MCI had already conducted its fourth review in September, this year and had pointed a few drawbacks. He said that most of the deficiencies had been met with and the remaining few would be overcome, before the next review of the apex body.

The principal mentioned the deficiencies in the new academic block, as the only remaining impediment, with the posts of four casualty medical officers already having been filled.
