The Chief Minister in a letter had asked Mr. JP Nadda’s to hasten inspection of Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital by the Medical Council of India (MCI).The state government on its part had applied to the Medical Council of India for LoP for two medical colleges at Baripada and Koraput, which led the MCI to have its team visit both these colleges for inspection. Last year in December.

The Council having visited Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital at Koraput again on April 11 for assessment of compliance of observations, has yet to make its compliance visit to the medical college at Baripada

''All requirements for obtaining LoP have been fulfilled to commence first batch intake of 100 undergraduate seats in the current year,'' Naveen stated in the letter to the Union Minister urging him to give the college an opportunity to prove its capability for availing the LoP.
